I’ve begun funding for my new novel The Wall in The Head, which Unbound will be publishing, first as an ebook later this year. If you’d like to become a supporter of the book I’d love to have you onboard. Details of how to do that are here, and so is an extract from the book to whet your appetite https://unbound.co.uk/books/the-wall-in-the-head
You can hear me on Monocle 24 talking about words and buildings if you like. I know, you know, I say ‘you know’ too much. Just so you know. https://monocle.com/radio/shows/section-d/234/
Thanks a bunch to everyone who’s been coming to see me on my FIRST EVER book tour. It’s been emotional. It’s been such a pleasure to get out to Birmingham, Glasgow and of course Shoreditch(!) to meet people as interested in words and buildings as I am. There’s two more new tour tour dates on the schedule – at RIBA in London on Apr 26 and in Sheffield’s outstanding Mies-ian Arts Tower on the University campus (part of the Brutalist Playground programme) on Jul 14. Hope to see you there and keep an eye out for more dates!
Here’s a piece I penned for The Guardian about The Night Manager http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2016/mar/27/the-night-manager-locations-morocco-switzerland-mallorca-london
Just before the Independent closed its print edition, I wrote two final stories for the papers. One on the excellent film High Rise http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/a-guide-to-property-on-screen-from-high-rises-tower-block-to-sex-and-the-citys-apartments-a6926036.html and one on… hovercraft! http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/cross-channel-hovercrafts-50th-birthday-this-technology-has-been-quietly-advancing-over-the-decades-a6935001.html
