The current sh*tshow we’re living through has at least given me the opportunity to begin writing a new non fiction book. Building Dreams is a deep dive into various architectural dreams, fantasies and incomplete projects that defined the optimistic era of modernism that swept the world.
The book will by published by Batsford, probably in late 2021. If you have any great stories about unbuilt architecture or crazy schemes – especially ones that haven’t been widely published before – I’d love to hear from you.
As always, feel free to get in touch on my contact page – I read every message and try to respond to them all too. Thanks everyone. Stay strong at this f***er of a time.
My book Lido is finished and will be published around the world in August. You can pre-order from independent bookshops or Waterstones in the UK.
In the US, Australasia and Europe the book will be titled Pool. You can pre-order it from places like Dymocks in Australia and Amazon in the US.
We will be arranging some launch parties and I’ll be doing a series of talks at places like Stanford’s Bookshop in London – watch this space!
