Some words about ads with bizarre slogans I wrote in The Guardian. It’s supposed to be funny. Hopefully.

This one was a pleasure to write. I went to visit the Alexanderhaus, formerly the summer house of the writer Thomas Harding’s family and wrote this piece for The Independent. It’s near to Potsdam, by a beautiful lake. Harding wrote the book The House By The Lake about the small building’s big history and later in 2018 it will open as a museum. Go and visit, and read the book. The house (and the lake) inspired me a great deal and you can find this beautiful spot as a location in my current novel (working title: Withdrawal) which I’m writing at the moment.
