Bloomsbury Festival
Had a really enjoyable time yesterday talking at Bloomsbury Literary Festival about my newest book, Lido. It was an online event but that meant more of you could listen in, and from outside of London too.
Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and asked a question and thanks to the Festival for inviting me.
Had a blast talking on Bloomsbury Radio too.

LIDO IS OUT
My newest book Lido is finally published by Batsford in the UK and you can buy it now from all good brick and mortar bookstores (get down to you local independent!) as well as all the usual online retailers too. It’s also published around the world under the title Pool.
If you can get over to East London I’m more than happy to sign copies and say hi too. Or why not go crazy and join me for 10 lengths down at London Fields Lido!
I hope you enjoy the book – it’s been a labour of love; it’s been made possible by the kind help of dozens of people and by all the great staffers at my publishers – books are a team effort.
There’s been some lovely coverage of the book in The Sunday Times, Daily Mail, Express, Building Design, Architecture Today, ArchDaily, Red Magazine, Nat Geo Traveller, Literary Review and loads of other places too. You can also hear me talk about it on Monocle 24 Radio.
For any publicity queries or interview requests directly relating to Lido please go through my lovely PR Frida Green fgreen@pavilionbooks.com For any speaking invites, queries, writing commissions, projects or other offers please contact me directly via the contact page on my website. Enjoy!

2021 live events
Alas Birmingham’s mac will be closed until 2021 so my event with Catherine O’Flynn showing Birmingham on screen will now be happening at the rescheduled TV festival next year. Likewise the Q&A with Michael Cumming and Stewart Lee for King Rocker will also be put back to 2021. Watch this space.

Birmingham On Screen Talks
I was due to host an evening of TV clips set in Birmingham with my literary heroine Catherine O’Flynn on May 19, but that has been postponed. Fear not thought, we will be doing it as part of mac‘s Festival of TV in the autumn – dates to be revealed soon.
I’ll also be doing a Q&A with Michael Cumming and Stewart Lee about their excellent new music documentary film King Rocker at mac on Oct 17 – ticket details to follow.
